My Dearest Te Mina, it’s not goodbye but See you!
April 5th, 2009 by nemielgemYou must be overflowing with joy now that you are over there at the Lord’s turf ! I know you are with of course the Lord God, Dad, Mom, Kuya Boy and Buddy. What a lovely reunion! With the angels singing songs of praises and the saints welcoming you…….soooo……perfect!
Though, I am sad because I will miss you…..your sense of humor….your frown…your silence….your laugh….your jokes….everything about you. I am happy because you are now in a much better place, free from the pain and suffering brought about by your illness.
Your life was well-lived……you were the perfect sister (napapautang, hehehe) , no..no..you were more than that, you were foremost a father and a mother to me. Your being a nurse was secondary……you were a great mother to Aaron, a devoted wife to Kuya Max, an ear to your friends, a hand to the needy, a doctor and a nurse to my other sisters and brother…..in short..you were the pillar of strength in the Capili household…..an epitome of a woman of strength. You were able to raise a God fearing young man (Aaron) who Im sure will be a good citizen of the Republic of the Philippines……In all these, Te Mina, you can say your mission has been accomplished.
Te Mina, in your passing, we are consoled by the fact that countless individuals come up to us and tell their stories on how you made a difference in their lives…that made us very proud of you…..
I am posting here the copy of the poem you came across in some news clippings way back about a loved one going away, which Ate Leta read in the mass offered for you last April 4, 2009:
MISS ME, BUT LET ME GO
When I come to the end of the road
and the sun has set for me
I want no rites in a gloom filled room
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little, but not too long
And not with your head bowed low
Remember the love that we once shared
Miss me, but let me go
For this is a journey that we all must take
And each must go alone
It’s all a part of the Master’s plan
A step on the road to home
When you are lonely and sick of heart
Go to the friends we know
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds
Miss me, but let me go
On that note Te Mina, we will be missing you but we will let you go….it’s not goodbye but see you again…..We love you, Te Mina!
